    Hey!

Well, I got hubby off to work (I love you, Brian!) , the girls off to school and had blood taken for my yearly physical (which I haven’t done yearly in awhile ).

I’m home now eating breakfast and drinking my coffee (had to fast for the blood draw).   I so need to stop drinking coffee again.  It’s not on the diet I do (in fact it’s a major no-no) but I’m having a hard time giving it up. I had stopped drinking it for over a year but when I was staying with Elizabeth at the hospital I started drinking it again.(Was the only way to keep my eyes open some days!) I’ve cut back alot but I really need to stop.  So I only had 3/4 of a cup this morning as opposed to the normal cup/cup and a half.

It’s so easy to get too busy or lazy and not take care of ourselves.  But our health is all so important.   It effects so much of our lives and our families.  So let’s make sure taking care of ourselves is a priority. (I know it has fallen too low on my own list!)

I have to get the dog her rabies shot today and get her license renewed.  I should have done this already.  Not sure what else is on my agenda besides the daily chores.  (Maybe some exercise   .)

    Have a great day!

    Jenn

  • I never drank coffee until a few months ago, while we were in Ireland. It was so cold in the house that we were just drinking warm stuff constantly. Now I find myself making a pot of coffee in the morning, but I’m wondering if the reason I’m so sluggish today is that I’m getting hooked on the caffeine. I haven’t had any coffee yet and I’m SO tired.

On the other hand, I did read that women who drink coffee have lower rates of cancer.

  • I agree, as my personal trainer Denise Austin would say, “God only gave us one body, we oughta take care of it!”  Amen.

I’ve never drank coffee, and I think that’s a good thing… it tastes bitter and gross. I don’t get how people can drink it. Joel said we have to develop a taste for coffee, well, I ain’t gonna!

  • My computer is acting up everytime I try to write something. I am feeling a little better but still struggle with pain. I see my doctor again next week. I have been taking care of Elisa’s needs tht I have not taken care of my own, I am trying to do that now. Have a good day.

  • Hi Jenn :big-smile:

I know what you mean about morning coffee.  If you love the flavor, and it’s the caffeine that bothers you (health wise) — maybe you could go for decaf?  Maybe have “real coffee” one day, and decaf the next so that you can ease off slowly.  Of course I’ve heard tea has even more caffeine than coffee so I don’t think I’ll suggest that.  Or if you love hot cocoa, maybe a nice cup of cocoa in the morning would be a nice replacement.  I know chocolate has some caffeine, but wouldn’t think as much as coffee or tea… hope you have a wonderful day today.
