    1)  A kindly brought tuna fish sandwich & cup of hot tea at 12:00 this morning.
    2) Nice nurses & doctors
    3) Elizabeth is such a trooper.  She is constantly being poked & prodded – and without complaint.
    4) Seeing that one of the nurses had her Bible open at the station.
    5) The Lord is in control.

A verse I read to Elizabeth this morning:

“Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen
your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.”   Psalms 32:24

    1) That Megan is much better today!

    2)  That today is the Lord’s Day , a day of rest and focusing and delighting in Him.

    3) While talking to the Pastor after church he mentioned Isaiah 12.  I read it in the car- what a blessing.

    4) I was also blessed by Romans 5:20 which was mentioned in the sermon. (G*d is greater then all our sin)

    5) Spending the day with my family.

    Have a blessed day!

    1)  That Megan’s asthma , even though not all better, is much better then it was at 2:00 this morning.

    2)  That her pediatrician has Saturday appointments so we don’t have to go to the ER.

    3) That even though I didn’t get much sleep, I don’t feel too bad!

    4)  We had a nice family breakfast this morning of eggs, sausage and toast.

    5) That we are having Thanksgiving at our house this year!

I’ll be back tomorrow.  I don’t normally post on the Lord’s Day but sharing blessings is an exception.

Have a great day and a blessed Lord’s Day!

This is such a good thing for me to do this morning because I’m not feeling particularly grateful at the moment (just feeling sorry for myself and need to get over it ).

    1) My hubby calling me every morning just because.

    2)  The abundant mercies of the Lord.

    3)  My diet plan and supplements which help me feel better in every way.

    4)   My mom.

    5)  Xanga friends.

    Have a great weekend!

  • Blessings and pictures from Saturday!

        blinkthankyoulord4

    1) Warm drinks on a cold day.

    2)  Good books.  (I’ve got two or 3 I’m in the process of reading and 2 I’m reading with friends)

    3)  Husband who knows you are working on the pantry stuff offers to take his stuff out of a closet and put up shelves for you to use!

    4)  Good friends.  (There have been seasons in my life when I’ve had few but right now I seem to be going through a time of abundance!)

    5) Libraries!  (I can’t afford to buy the occasional magazine anymore but I can always borrow them for free)

On Saturday, we went to Paterson, NJ to see the Great Falls of the Passaic River.  (Only about a 1/2 hour from us but we had never gone before)

It was awesome but weird.  The falls were magnificent but they are located the middle of a downtown city area .(Wouldn’t want to walk here alone.)

    Picture 032

    It’s a 77 ft high drop.

The first Dutch visitors to the Great Falls in 1680 declared it

”a sight to be seen in order to observe the power and wonder of G*d.” (WOW!)

I posted this picture just so you kinda see how it’s in the city.  Megan and I are walking up a very busy street.

My hubby took all the pictures. And you can see it was an overcast day.

    Have a blessed one!

    1) My new friend Ann.  She is a neighbor that just moved two houses down.  She is a Christian and I am really enjoying her.

    2)  It’s a gorgeous Fall Day!

    3)  I did pretty well at my sewing class last nite, made real progress on my pajama bottoms.

    4)  I was able to make a special breakfast for the girls this morning. (Croissants with egg, sausage and cheese on them!)

    5) I have already baked brownies (my reason to turn the oven on to warm up the kitchen this morning  ), did a load of laundry, have another in the dryer, took the girls to school and made a good dent in my daily chores!

    Count your blessings.

My friend Chet (http://www.xanga.com/clintspirations)  encouraged his fellow bloggers to post 5 things they are grateful for everyday until Thanksgiving. (He did this last year too,)  I think it’s a great idea and so I will take up the challenge and post 5 things everyday until Thanksgiving even if I don’t have time to post anything else or comment.  Why don’t you give it a try?  It’s so inspirational to see what others are thankful to our Lord for.

    So here it goes:

    1)  So thankful for the Lord saving my soul and making me His!

    2)  Thankful for the wonderful, Christian husband He gave me!  I couldn’t ask for better then Brian.

    3)  For the children He gave.  Couldn’t imagine my life with out my 3 girls.  Truly blessings from above.

    4) The house I live in.  It may not be my dream house and it may have alot of flaws but it’s the protection and shelter, the home that G*d gave my family to grow, and worship Him in.   And on a rainy day like today, there is no place I’d rather be!

    5) The gorgeous trees that I get to see everyday taking the girls to and from school.

“Giving thanks always for all things unto G*d and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesu.s Chris.t” Eph.5:20

  •  Happy Monday!

    Results from sewing class:

( I just love the fabric!)   To be honest I’m the worst sewer in my class  but I have really enjoyed it!   I have two (I think) classes left.

I’m gonna try to make a pair of pajama bottoms and then I hope to try to make a skirt (something I can wear out in public )    We’ll see how it goes.

It was a busy weekend!   Saturday , we went for a family walk. We went and saw these awesome falls (I’ll show pictures tomorrow)   in  Passaic County, NJ!  Then we stopped by Walmart to get the supplies for me to make the pajama pants.  (I like the fabric I got for them too!)

We went home had lunch, the girls had some homework left, leaves to rake and bag and they had to help clean up the basement.   I ate, went to Trader Joe’s then spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning the basement too.  I have a partially finished basement.  Friday I had worked on the unfinished side where my washer and dryer are.  I went through all the stuff underneath the stairs and tossed alot of stuff out and realized we have quite a bit of camping equipment.  (We have never been as a family, my hubby wants us to go and has been buying stuff little by little so we can go.  I never have been too enthusiastic about it but felt real guilty as I got all the stuff together.   Think maybe next spring….)

Saturday I spent cleaning the finished side which is mostly the kids room.  The only thing is it hardly gets used.  They mess it up and it doesn’t get cleaned (out of sight, out of mind for me) and then they don’t want to play down there cause it’s a wreck!   So now it’s all done!   And the girl’s spent all Sunday afternoon down there,  reading, and other Lord’s Day activities.   It was real quiet here!

I said the basement was all done, well, the bulk of the work is done but there is still more to do so I will be down there this week finishing it up.

Hope everyone has a blessed week!
